ACC Almost Lands Spot in BCS Championship Game

Future ACC member and likely future football member Notre Dame (12-0) finished the season undefeated and on top of the BCS (whatever that is).

The winner of the SEC Championship game between Alabama and Georgia will advance to the BCS national championship game in Miami on Jan. 7 against the Fighting Irish who locked up their spot Saturday with a 22-13 victory against Southern California.

It was the Golden Domers first unbeaten regular season since 1988. That’s also the last championship year for the school that produced a legion of the sport’s most memorable figures: Knute Rockne, the Four Horsemen, Paul Hornung, and Joe Montana.

Sources close to T.A.H. Worldwide Media believe Notre Dame will join the ACC for football by 2015 if there is still an ACC football conference around to join.
