Tar Heels Dominate Jersey Sales

According to CNBC.com, college basketball players don’t get paid royalties for the sale of their replica jerseys. According to the Suits In Indianapolis (Formerly Kansas), because the players’ names are not on the back although their sometimes well known numbers are. 

That said, each year various media outlets track the sales of said jerseys.

The 2012 Top Ten starts with Duke’s Mason Plumlee and includes Kendall Marshall (8), Tyler Zeller (7) and Seth Curry (3).  

As for No. 1?

That would be Harrison Barnes of North Carolina. The sophomore forward leads the jersey sale list.  Barnes, who could have left for the NBA draft after his freshman season last year, was named first team All-ACC this season and legions of Tar Heel’s fans are waiting for him to explode over the weekend.
