DUKE 16, Jacksonville 7 -- Duke University outscored Jacksonville 8-2 in the second half to earn a convincing 16-7 victory over the Dolphins in non-conference men's lacrosse action this afternoon at Koskinen Stadium. Sophomore Jordan Wolf led the 10th-ranked Blue Devils with a career-high five goals and two assists for seven points.
Wolf's seven points tie his career-best mark, while senior Robert Rotanz contributed three goals and sophomores Josh Dionneand Christian Walsh threw in two goals and added an assist apiece. Duke's trio at attack combined for nine goals and four assists for 13 of Duke's 22 points in the game.
Defensively, Duke (2-1) held Jacksonville (1-2) to just four goals over the final 45 minutes of the contest and forced the Dolphins into 17 turnovers for the game. The Blue Devils kept Jacksonville off the scoreboard for a stretch of 21:17 spanning the second and third quarters.
