UNC Interim Withers Headed To Ohio State

According to ESPN and others, North Carolina interim coach Everett Withers will be an assistant coach under Urban Meyer next season at Ohio State.  As far as we know, Withers will coach the Tar Heels in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl.

The announcement of hiring new head coach Larry Fedora made it unlikely that Withers would stay in Chapel Hill where he was tasked with leading North Carolina after the university released former head coach Butch Davis just prior to this season.

Withers has done a good job under difficult circumstances and this move looks to be a well-earned promotion.
