Tar Heel Mom Entered In $1 million Breeders’ Cup Race

T.A.H.’s favorite racehorse, Tar Heel Mom, is scheduled to make the final start of her very successful career tomorrow in the $1 million Sentient Jet Filly & Mare Turf Sprint G1 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY.

Tar Heel Mom is no slouch having made 30 career starts with 11 wins, 8 seconds and five thirds.  Do the math and she has been first, second or third in 24 of her 30 outings.  Her lifetime bankroll currently sits at $832,892.  Last time we looked, that was real money.  

In all likelihood, following this race, the now six-year-old mare will retire to Kentucky to start making Tar Heel Girls and Tar Heel Boys.
