Heisman Trophy Rumblings…

(Joe Robbins/Getty Images)
There has been some talk already about Clemson’s Taj Boyd and N.C. State transfer Russell Wilson being legit candidates for the Heisman Trophy.  Yes, they are legitimate candidates, but neither has a snowballs chance in the T.A.H. Worldwide Media Headquarter’s microwave of winning if Baylor’s Robert Griffin III keeps doing what he’s doing.

Aside, from earning his political science degree in three years, being a pillar of the community, a patriot, a volunteer and by all accounts a great guy, Griffin is one heck of a quarterback.  When queried by Sports Illustrated what he might not be good at, Griffin pondered a bit and finally said, “Trivia. I’m not good at trivia.”

What he is good at is running, passing and scoring touchdowns for the #25 Bears (3-1).  Feature these stast:  He has completed 85.4 percent of his passes this season and he has thrown more touchdown passes (13) than incompletions (12).

That, loyal readers, is not a misprint! It doesn’t say more touchdowns than interceptions, it says more TOUCHDOWNS than INCOMPLETIONS!
