“Comment” Of The Day

EASELY and CHUCKIE (GatorCountry.com)
Following Alabama’s 34-10 butt-kicking of Florida, former Alabama player Reggie Myles claims he was assaulted by current Florida player Dominique Easley.

According to the police report, Myles claimed Easley hit him from behind somewhere near Ben Hill Griffin Stadium shortly after the game.

Evidently, Easley ran away after the alleged assault, but managed to leave his cell phone behind.  Myles, suffering from minor injuries was so agitated, the police eventually arrested him for being drunk and disorderly. (What the heck, his team won…)

Tapes from surveillance cameras in the area will also be pulled in order to help police in their investigation.

Easley made four tackles against the Crimson Tide on Saturday. He was also flagged for a personal foul for roughing UA quarterback AJ McCarron in the second quarter. McCarron, in turn, exchanged words with Easley and was animated in his excitement after scoring a touchdown on a sneak two plays later.

Myles played at Alabama from 1998-2001, followed by a four-year NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Of course, there were comments left on this story at various web sites, and this one from “hrudey” towers above the others:

“I am fairly confident that there exists no video evidence of a Gator defender successfully hitting anyone affiliated with Alabama in any way. If the accusation was that Easley tried to hit him and missed, and Myles picked up four more yards, that would be believable.”
