Former Hokie Taylor Throws Game Winning Touchdown For Ravens

TYROD TAYLOR (Jim McIsaac/Getty Images)
Former Hokie QB Tyrod Taylor threw a nine yard touchdown to Brandon Jones (Oklahoma) with 22 seconds remaining to give the stupid Baltimore Ravens a meaningless preseason win over our Washington Redksins. Who does he think he is, Bert Jones?

Taylor looked much sharper than he did in the previous outing against the even stupider Philadelphia Eagles.  Last  night, Tyrod was 11 for 18 for 1254 yards and the winning score.

Only two bits of bad news for Redskins fans.  1) John Beck (BYU) and Rex Grossman (Florida), who are battling for the starting QB job, are still John Beck and Rex Grossman.  Both were solid but neither is morphing into Joe Montana or Dan Mario…or Eli Manning for that matter.  Need we go on?

And 2) Rookie DE Jarvis Jenkins by way of Clemson tore the ACL in his right knee.  Last night they thought it was a sprain, but an MRI this a.m. confirmed the bad news.
