Ryan Harrow will follow in the footsteps of Derrick Rose and John Wall and play point guard for John Calipari.

The former N.C. State guard has announced his plans to transfer to Kentucky. He put the decision on his Twitter account on Wednesday night and also told the recruiting service Scout.com.

At Memphis and Kentucky, Calipari has coached the top point guards in the college game the past couple of years, turning out Rose, the MVP of the NBA this past season, and Wall, the Raleigh product who was the top pick in the 2010 NBA draft.

Harrow, who averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 assists per game for the Wolfpack last season, will have to sit out the 2011-12 season under NCAA rules. He joins a Kentucky program that reached the Final Four in April and is expected to be one of the top teams in the country again this season.
