DUKE 15, Delaware 14 – Duke University attackmen Zach Howell and Jordan Wolf combined for seven goals and three assists and senior goaltender Mike Rock made 12 saves as the fifth-seeded Blue Devils held off No. 14 Delaware, 15-14, in front of 2,572 in the first round of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament.

Delaware battled back from a six and five-goal deficits during the game, but Duke was able to outlast the Blue Hens and get the win to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals.

MARYLAND 13, NORTH CAROLINA 6 – Junior Drew Snider scored four goals and senior Ryan Young had two goals and three assists to lead the University of Maryland to a 13-6 victory over No. 8 seed North Carolina Sunday afternoon at Fetzer Field in the first round of the NCAA men's lacrosse tournament.

VIRGINIA 13, Bucknell 12 – Tewaaraton finalist Steele Stanwick found Matt White for the game-winning goal with 2:33 left in overtime to push the No. 7 seeded Virginia Cavaliers (10-5) over the unseeded Bucknell Bison (14-3) on Sunday, 13-12, inside Klöckner Stadium in the NCAA Tournament first round. Virginia now advances to the quarterfinal round in Hempstead, N.Y., and will face the No. 2 seeded Cornell Big Red at noon on Saturday. The game will be televised in HD on ESPN2.

With the win, Starsia now owns 326 career victories, tying him with Jack Emmer (326) for most victories by a head coach.
