The website ISportsWeb.com is reporting that Barnes will announce his return “no later than Thursday,” though that report is unconfirmed.
Barnes led the Heels with 15.7 points per game in his freshman year.
Numerous analysts have projected he’d be a top-5 pick in the NBA Draft if he elected to turn pro.
Not to be outdone by their rivals over in Durham, UNC published a letter to Barnes in the Daily Tar Heel encouraging him to stay: You are a competitor like Michael Jordan was — not satisfied with not winning. The loss in the Elite Eight should spur on the desire to go all the way. Let the fire in you help lead us to another championship!
Not nearly as snarky as the one to Kyrie Irving in the Duke Chronicle.

There is nothing — ask anyone who is a Tar Heel — sweeter than a spring day on the Hill and nothing sweeter than the night we win the championship.
What could be sweeter, too, than to sweep the Dookies and win another ACC title?
Not nearly as snarky as the one to Kyrie Irving in the Duke Chronicle.
