Will Vernon Davis' $20 Take Down UNC Football?

According to Cindy Boren of the Washington Post: New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has been accused by the University of North Carolina of providing improper benefits to players.


The benefits include "gifts of cash and jewelry and impermissible assistance with lodging, travel, transportation and entertainment expenses," the school announced. Nicks reportedly gave current players $3,300. Vernon Davis also was named in the report for allegedly providing $20. (Twenty bucks! Hope they didn't spend it all in one place.)

UNC discovered the violations while investigating players' ties to agents.
