Media Exchange of the Day

This gem comes to us via ACC Now and Ken Tysiac:
A young reporter asked Charlie Coles, the colorful coach of Miami (Ohio), why his players seemed nervous and were fumbling the ball against Duke. No. 1-ranked Blue Devils had just held Miami to 33.3 percent shooting from the field in a 79-45 win Tuesday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Coles looked the reporter in the eye.

“Let me ask you something,” he said. “Are you scared of a bear?”

The reporter said yes.

“Why?”

“It’s bigger and stronger,” the reporter said.

“Now you understand why they were fumbling the ball,” Coles said.
