If Not Vick, At Least His Jersey is Headed to Hall of Fame

Like it did when former Hokie Deangelo Hall had four interceptions in one game, the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH has asked for Michael Vick’s Jersey following his record-breaking and mercurial performance at Fed Ex Field on Monday night. The Eagles squeeked by the Redskins thanks to Vick’s 413 yards by an ever-so-close final score of 59-28.

Vick, who played one season for Virginia Tech before pursuing professional football and dog fighting, also was named NFC offensive player of the week for the second consecutive week. He is the first quarterback since Randall Cunningham in 1998 to earn the honor two weeks in a row.

Vick also had a monster game in the Eagles victory two weeks ago against the Indianapolis Colts. That performance was slightly marred by 14 penalties against Philadelphia.
