ACC Basketball: Terps Undefeated

MARYLAND 105, Seattle (Redhawks, 7,771 students, Seattle, WA) 76

ACC regular season basketball got underway last night with the promise of early season romps and a distraction from an evenly matched, but somewhat mediocre, football season.

Last night, after a closer-than-expected first half, Maryland pulled away from a gritty Seattle team to win in convincing style, 105-76.

Four Terps finished in double figures, led by junior guard Sean Mosley's 21. Sophomore forward Jordan Williams had a double-double, with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Senior Cliff Tucker poured in 16. And Terrell Stoglin, the first freshman off the bench after starting point guard Adrian Bowie drew two quick fouls, scored 15 points in 18 minutes of work.
