ACC Football: Stuff You Probably Already Know

VIRGINIA TECH 44, DUKE 7 – Early Duke turnovers and a failed fourth down conversion open the doors and the Hokies come crashing through. Tyrod Taylor threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns and No. 23 Virginia Tech rolled.

MARYLAND 24, BOSTON COLLEGE 21 – Terps continue to make the most of what they have as the Fridge fights for his job. Maryland safety Antwine Perez had two interceptions and a fumble recovery, and Danny O'Brien threw for three touchdowns.

CLEMSON 27, GEORGIA TECH 13 – In the course of every season, some teams improve dramatically and others stumble and fall. You know which is which. The Tigers’ Andre Ellington rushed for a career-high 166 yards and two long touchdowns as Clemson ended a four-game losing streak to Georgia Tech.

VIRGINIA 48, Eastern Michigan 21 – Marc Verica threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns and punter Jimmy Howell also had a passing score.

MIAMI 33, NORTH CAROLINA 10 – The Tar Heels failed to take advantage of several early scoring opportunities and the Canes made them pay. Jacory Harris threw three touchdown passes, Damien Berry ran for his fourth straight game of 100-plus yards and the 25th-ranked Hurricanes scored 30 straight points.
