Pictures of the Day

SOME STUFF YOU CAN’T MAKE UP. Like, the Wall of Death.  Serbian motorcyclists ride inside of the "Wall of Death" during a public fair in Sabac, 100km west of capital Belgrade, on September 21, 2010. The Wall of Death is a carnival sideshow featuring a drum- or barrel-shaped wooden cylinder, ranging from 20 to 36-feet in diameter, in which stunt motorcyclists ride and carry out tricks.  (Photo by Andrej Isakovic/AFP PHOTO)GETTING THE HEISMAN. Literally. Sam Wolson is a senior at the University of Michigan, the co-managing photo editor of its student newspaper, The Michigan Daily, and he has been a photographer his entire life. Saturday before last, at Notre Dame Stadium, he took this photo and within a matter of hours a student journalist had become the accidental propagandist for an improbable Heisman campaign for Michigan QB Denard Robinson. NICE SHORTS, FAKE JOHNNY MAC.  Former Australian tennis player Pat Rafter and a John McEnroe impersonator are seen during an announcement at Events NSW on September 21, 2010 in Sydney, Australia. The ATP Champions Tour has added a Sydney tournament to its global calendar and will take place from November 11-14, 2010. (Photo by Ryan Pierse/Getty Images AsiaPac)BROKE BUSH. Reggie Bush #25 of the New Orleans Saints lies on the ground injured against the San Francisco 49ers during an NFL game at Candlestick Park on September 20, 2010 in San Francisco, California. Bush broke his fibula and may miss up to six weeks. (Photo by Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images North America)
THAT’S WRONG.  Arizona fans want to know what Iowa’s fans are doing so far from home during last Satuday’s game in Tempe, AZ.  (Photo by Robert Beck/SI)

BLAST FROM THE PAST. Michael Vick burst onto the scene in 1999, when he scored three rushing touchdowns in his first quarter of college football. He would go onto redefine the role of quarterback as he led the Virginia Tech Hokies to an 11-0 season and an appearance in the national championship game, a 46-29 loss to Florida State.  Vick had a big game last week for the Eagles, but his headed back to the bench according to various reports.
