Former Hokie De Jonge Fades to T33 in U.S. Open

Nobody expected former Virginia Tech Hokie Brendon de Jonge to win the U.S. Open after leading the first round with a 69 at Pebble Beach last Thursday.

De Jonge steadily slid backward shooting 73 on Friday and 77 on both Saturday and Sunday. He shot 296 (+6) to tie for 33rd earning $44,472.
