Seems as the annual block party known as Springfest got a little out of hand last weekend when some 8,000 kids showed up to the event that usually attracts 1,000 to 2,000 JMU students.
In short order, chaos ensued including property damage and physical injuries. When things started to get riotous, the cops showed up in the appropriate garb. It all went down hill from there.
While JMU president Lynwood Rose was quick to scold the entire student body, many witness claim that students from other schools and kids from the local community were the problem. When JMU students were overwhelmed by strangers, many closed down their parties and that is when the violence ensued…
The Harrisonburg place made as many as 20 arrests, and are now scouring YouTube videos trying to indentify additional law-breakers.
Here at T.A.H. Worldwide Media Headquarters we have received zillions of emails and calls pointing out that the trouble makers were interlopers from ACC schools in the region who are jealous of the nirvana that is Harrisonburg, VA and the always expanding JMU campus. Not to mention, a national championship in football.
In addition, according to some sources in and around Chapel Hill, some ACC students were upset that the JMU teams are called the “Dukes.”
The pictures we have been sent of this disaster clearly justify this theory on what when wrong.
JMU students took it all in stride and immediately staring producing tee-shirts that say “Come To JMU…It’s A Riot!”
