Not only did Miami lose last night in Chapel Hill, but they also committed the ugliest turnover of the season. Mind you they only had eight turnovers, but this one was a peach.

With nine minutes in change to go in the game, Miami guard Malcolm Grant fires a pass from the far corner to his teammate James Dews who was standing along the baseline in front of the Miami bench. Problem was Dews was behind the baseline standing in front of the Canes’ bench for the simple reason that he wasn’t in the game.

We have consulted the crack research staff at T.A.H. Worldwide Media and nobody recalls ever seeing a player attempt to throw a pass (intentionally) to a player who wasn’t actually in the game…
