By now, you should know what happened. Just in case you don’t, here’s the Readers Digest version.

MARYLAND 104, VIRGNIA TECH 100 – A water main broke at Cassel Coliseum delaying Terps v. Hokies some three hours. When the game finally started, both squads did their best to extend the game as long as possible with Maryland finally winning 104-100 in double overtime.

Greivis Vasquez was the man scoring 41 points – 33 in the second half. Malcolm Delaney paced Tech with 27 points, hitting 9 of 17 from the floor. He also hit 8 of 10 from the free-throw line and played all 50 minutes.

GEORGIA TECH 73, BOSTON COLLEGE 68 – Inconsistent Georgia Tech got 24 from Iman Shumpert and 14 from Derrick Flavors to snap Boston College’s two-game winning streak.

NORTH CAROLINA 77, WAKE FOREST 68 – In what had to be the surprise of the day, the Tar Heels got some desperately needed offense from freshman Leslie McDonald who scored 16 points. The rare out-of-Triangle win for North Carolina moves them to 15-14 (4-1- ACC) and the Deacs to 18-8 (8-6).

N.C. STATE 71, MIAMI 66 – Speaking of inconsistent, have you met Miami? Tracy Smith and Javier Gonzalez scored 19 points each to lead lead the Wolfpack (16-3,4-10) over Miami (18-10, 4-10). Miami, N.C. State and North Carolina now enjoying gridlock at the bottom of the ACC standings…
