So what's the scoop?

The Winthrop Eagles are making their fifth trip to the Big Dance in six seasons and their ninth since 1999. In 2007, they knocked off Notre Dame and the year prior it took a last-second shot for No. 2 seeded Tennessee to beat them.

The Golden Lions from Ark-PB are making their NCAA tourney debut. They lost their first 11 games, but then won 11 of their final 12 including an upset victory in the SWAC championship game. While they start five seniors, they have no victories outside their conference.
