Coach Roy Williams of North Carolina might have wanted to quote White House Chief of Staff Rob Emanuel and say his Heels are playing like a bunch of “f*****g r****ds,” instead he made a comment comparing his disappointment in his struggling team’s season to the suffering in Haiti.
Oops. Retraction time.

"In no way am I equating the tragedy in Haiti with basketball,’’ the Hall of Fame coach said in a prepared statement released by the school. "I’m sorry that my statement at the press conference made it seem like I was comparing the two. The people of Haiti are suffering through unimaginably difficult times. I know very well that we are just playing a game."

Sara Palin backed the embroiled Ol’ Roy just like she did Rush Limbaugh when he used the “r” word three times last week on his show noting that, just like Rush, Roy used the Haitian reference as “satire” and that, according to the First Alaskan, makes it all good.
