For the second time in three years, a Virginia photographer has won the Eclipse Award. Jeff Taylor of the Winchester Star joins Douglas Lees of Warrenton in winning horse racing's highest honor for photography.

Taylor’s “Rider Thrown” was taken at the Blue Ridge Point-to-Point races in Berryville, VA.

Neither horse or rider were seriously injured.
