T.A.H.: SHANAHAN TO BE NEXT REDSKINS HEAD COACH

All that stuff we said about John "Chuckie" Gruden being a lock to be the next head coach of the Washington Redskins? That was bull****.

Now, everybody at T.A.H. Worldwide Media Headquarters is absolutely convinced that former Denver Broncos head man and Super Bowl winner Mike Shanahan will be the Skins next head coach.

The Denver Post (a legitimate media outlet) reported on Thursday night that former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan is in talks with the Redskins to become their next coach. The paper cited unnamed NFL insiders.

The Redskins hired Bruce Allen as GM on Thursday, hours after former personnel chief Vinny Cerrato resigned. Current head coach Jim Zorn remained in place and continued to prepare the team for its game against the Giants on Monday night.

Rumor has it that the Skins cleared the Allen hire with Shanahan.

Were we he, we'd wait until after the season when the Dallas Cowboys crap-can Wade Phillips, and then we'd play Jerry Jones off of Dan Snyder. Such a bidding war would likely make Shanahan richer than the future ex-Mrs. Tiger.
