WAKE FOREST 90, Elon 50 - Wake Forest used a dominating inside game, scoring 52 points in the paint to blow past Elon. The 40-point win marked the largest margin of victory of the season for the Deacons and the Phoenix's 50 points were the also the fewest allowed by Wake on the year. With the win Wake Forest improves to 6-2 while Elon falls to 3-7.

Five Deacons scored in double figures. Freshman Ari Stewart posted a team-high 16 points while pulling down four rebounds.

Al-Farouq Aminu recorded his fifth double-double of the season and 15th of his career off the bench, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 boards. Ishmael Smith had 12 points to go with three assists and three steals.

NO. 24 CLEMSON 62, Furman 53 - Trevor Booker (#35) had season highs with 25 points and 14 rebounds. The Tigers (8-2) had a week off since beating rival South Carolina on Dec. 6 and that freshness showed throughout against the Paladins (5-3). Booker hit eight of his first nine shots as Clemson led 43-26 at the break.

Booker left the game for good after breaking up a midcourt pass and taking a feed from Andre Young for a crowd-pleasing jam with 5:44 left.

Rhode Island 80, BOSTON COLLEGE 69 - Junior Rakim Sanders scored a team-high 14 points and classmate Corey Raji totaled 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead Boston College.

Rhode Island (8-1) shot 50.0 percent from the field in the contest, including a blistering 9-for-15 (60.0 percent) from three-point range.

The Rams led by eight points - 33-25 - at halftime and never surrendered that advantage. URI scored the first four points of the second half and, after BC answered with four straight points, then used a 5-0 run to gain a 42-29 margin with 17:19 to play.
