WAKE FOREST 67, N.C. STATE 59 - Al-Farouq Aminu had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Wake Forest beat North Carolina on Sunday night in the ACC opener for both teams.

Freshman C.J. Harris scored 10 points while Ishmael Smith had 10 points, seven assists and a memorable fast-break sequence to lead the Demon Deacons (8-2, 1-0 ACC).

Javier Gonzalez scored 18 points, one shy of a personal best, wle freshman Scott Wood added a season-high 11 points and Tracy Smith had 11 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out with 5:28 remaining for N.C. State (8-2, 0-1 ACC).

FLORIDA STATE 66, NO. 15 GEORGIA TECH 59 – Ryan Reid scored a career-high 17 points, and Chris Singleton hit the go-ahead basket with 1:05 left in overtime to help Florida State beat Georgia Tech on Sunday night.

The Seminoles (10-2, 1-0 ACC) won their fourth straight and stopped Georgia Tech's seven-game winning streak.

BOSTON COLLEGE 76, Bryant (Bulldogs, 5,082 students, Smithfield, RI) 42 - Joe Trapani scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Corey Raji added 20 points and eight boards to lead Boston College. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Eagles (7-4) heading into Wednesday's matchup with Massachusetts, which upset Memphis on Saturday.
