T.A.H. TO RESUME PUBLISHING LATER TODAY

Photographer Lee Boltin went around the country and took photos of ordinary signs that depicted everyday life. His photo of a handwritten sign on a shop was chosen for the cover and the title – Closed On Account of Death – Not Sam! Evidently, Sam, the shopkeeper, was no worse for the wear.

T.A.H. has been closed for a few days on account of a death in the family – not the Editor (Sam in this case…). We will be back up and running later today.

SATURDAY FOOTBALL:

MIAMI 52, VIRGINIA 17Hoos AD making bad noises for Groh last week. This lopsided loss won’t help.

N.C. STATE 38, MARYLAND 31 – Who knows what to make of these two? Neither are very good while it seems both should be better. Does that make sense?

GEORGIA TECH 30, WAKE FOREST 27 OT – Every good team gets at least one good scare in a big season. The Deacons scared the bejeezus out of the Yellow Jackets…

NORTH CAROLINA 19 DUKE 6 – In sounds strange to say this was an important win for the Tar Heels, but in many ways, it was…

CLEMSON 40, FLORIDA STATE 24FSU in disarray with coaching shenanigans while Dabo has to be feeling better as Tigers make mid-season surge.

MONDAY BASKETBALL:

NORTH CAROLINA 88, Florida International University (Golden Panthers, 40,151 students, Miami, FL) 72
