N.C. State is the latest school to join a growing list of ACC programs to support Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich in his fight against Ewing's Sarcoma. For the two weeks prior to the Duke game, State’s football players gave up their per diem and raised over $2,000 and Wolfpack fans added over $5,000 last Saturday at the Duke game in Raleigh.

A check will be presented this weekend at the B.C. game in Chestnut Hill to Uplifting Athletes, which is raising the money for Ewing’s Sarcoma research.

Herzlich and former Eagles’ coach Tom O'Brien still keep in touch.

To date, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Florida State have also contributed to the fund.
