DEAR COMCAST: PLEASE TAKE BACK ESPNU

The local cable company was kind enough to upgrade their product so T.A.H. World Headquarters now has ESPNU which frequently shows ACC football games.

Hence T.A.H. staffers were compelled to watch the UNC v. UConn game.

Make it stop…

Apologists will call it a defensive struggle, UNC fans will probably call it an ugly win and everybody else might settle on down right weird and boring at the same time.

UConn’s defense stifled the Tar Heels offense allowing just 134 yards of offense through three quarters. They sacked QB C.Y. Yates six times and intercepted him twice. North Carolina’s staunch defense held the Huskies to less than 200 yards while knocking their starting QB out of the game in the third quarter.

The Heels needed 12 fourth quarter points to win the game. The final two – a safety – came on a Dan Ryan holding penalty in the end zone.

In the series prior, UNC scored their only touchdown on a pass from Yates to tight end Zack Pianalto. Pianalto promptly hurt his leg in the ensuing celebration. He was taken off the field on a cart with his right leg in an air cast.

Nice, Zack, NICE!

"I told the chancellor, 'That's why you don't see any 100-year-old football coaches,'" said North Carolina coach Butch Davis.
