According to Ken Tysiac of the News & Observer, N.C. State discovered Thursday that social media can turn ugly."God awful ugly" also is how one fan described the Wolfpack's new men's basketball jerseys on the team's official Twitter site: twitter.com/packmensbball.
"Epic Fail," "unsightly" and "horrendous" were other terms used on the Twitter page to describe the photograph of the jersey provided by N.C. State.
The principal objection seems to be that the "NC" on the jersey is too small or shouldn't be on the uniform at all.
These complaints might be quickly forgotten if the Wolfpack has a successful season.
But winning ugly might be the best scenario N.C. State can hope for, judging by the reaction of some of its fans.
