SPEAKING OF THE NCAA (AGAIN)

Guard Elliot Williams has been granted a transfer waiver by the NCAA and is eligible to play for Memphis this coming season.

The school announced the approval in a news release Friday. Williams played his freshman season at Duke, where he started 12 games and averaged 4.2 points a game.

He is a Memphis native who has already enrolled in classes at Memphis. Williams has said he transferred to be closer to his sick mother.

What up with that? We took your Final Four away, so we won’t make your transfer from Duke sit out a season?
