Evidently, Isiah Thomas isn’t looking to start his sure-to-be-a-failure college coaching career by getting drubbed by the 2009 NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball National Champion University of North Carolina Tar Heels. In fact, if he has to play the Heels, he’s going to take his horrific coaching/general managing resume, his players and his basketball and go home…

Simply put, officials from Florida International say they will pull out of the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament unless tournament organizers allow FIU to open with Ohio State instead of North Carolina, as the Golden Panthers had expected.

Apparently, the tournament organizers have the right to determine the schedule via contract whether the participating schools like it or not.

That didn’t back off FIU athletic director Pete Garcia who said, "We will not be bullied into a unilateral decision to play North Carolina after we already agreed to play Ohio State."
