The winners of two legs of horseracing Triple Crown will face off this weekend when Preakness winner Rachel Alexandra and Belmont Stakes winner Summer Bird face of the $1.25 million Haskell Invitational Gr.I at Monmouth Park on Sunday.

Rachel Alexandra (pictured) has been training at Saratoga while Summer Bird has been getting prepared at the New Jersey track that will host the race. Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird continues to go down his own unique path. Starting out in Canada and then winning the Kentucky Derby by way of New Mexico, he now is headed to “almost Heaven.” He will also run this weekend facing five opponents in the $750,000 West Virginia Derby Gr.II at Mountaineer Casino Racetrack & Resort.

Fourth place Belmont finisher Virginia-bred Charitable Man is running at Saratoga in the $500,000 Jim Dandy Gr.II on Saturday as well.
