FRIENDS OF GARY OUT IN FORCE AT TERPS v. HOKIES GAME

From Dan Steinberg’s D.C. Sports Blog (slightly edited):

Never let it be said that Gary Williams and his friends take pressure quietly. Dozens of fans sitting courtside last Saturday were wearing pro-Williams tee shirts and the accompanying buttons.

They were ordered two weeks ago, before the most recent run of Gary recruiting stories, by three members of the Friends of Gary group. The first shipment of 200 shirts arrived for the Hokie game, and more are on the way for the next home game. There were also 2,500 "In Gary We Trust" buttons that were all over the student section

The most famous t-shirt wearer was Ravens Coach John Harbaugh, who pledged allegiance to Gary, slipping the shirt over his head to massive applause early in the first half.

"I love Gary Williams," Harbaugh told me. "I'm supporting him with pride."
