FLORIDA STATE 57, No. 23 Florida (Gators, 51,413 students, Gainesville, FL) 55 – The Noles (8-1) shot a whopping 31.4 percent and their leading scorer had one field goa, and yet somew how they beat intrastate rival the No. 23. MARYLAND 76, George Washington (Colonials, 10,813 students, Washington, DC) 53 - Landon Milbourne scored a career-high 20 points and Maryland cruised to a easy win over G-Dub in the BB&T Classic played at Verizon Center. Greivis Vasquez added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Terps, who ended a four-game losing streak in the tournament. Adrian Bowie had 17 points and Eric Hayes had 13 for Maryland (6-2) after winning two straight following back-to-back losses to ranked opponents.

CLEMSON 80, Liberty (Flames, 14,483 students, Lynchburg, VA) 75 - K.C. Rivers scored a game-high 32 points to help seal Clemson's comeback win against Liberty. Rivers , who was also 4-for-8 from beyond the arc, completed a double-double by grabbing 11 rebounds. Trevor Booker scored 18, had eight rebounds and tallied four blocks for the Tigers (9-0).

VIRGINIA TECH 79, Navy (Midshipmen, 4,400 students, Annapolis, MD) 70 - Malcolm Delaney led the Hokies with 21 points, including a perfect 11-of-11 from the line. Jeff Allen and A.D. Vassallo added 17 points each and Hank Thorns came off the bench with 10 points for Tech (5-3).
