BEAMER: CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES ALL AROUND

Posted by ESPN.com's Heather Dinich

TAMPA, Fla. -- Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer agreed that all of the BCS conferences should play a conference title game, or they shouldn't be played at all.

"Yes, I think for the national championship, you know, everybody needs to be on the same playing field," Beamer said. "And I know when were in the Big East and didn't play one of these games, that was the easiest way to make it to the national championship. If you go undefeated, beat the people in your league, and then get your out of conference games, you are probably going to be, if you are undefeated, you are probably going to be in the national championship game.

"I would like to see that. I don't know all of the ins and out about that. I think you have to have a level playing field. When you get to this game, at best you got a 50/50 shot of winning. Most of them are going to be pretty even, two good football teams. So, you know, I think it will help if everybody had one, yes."
