DÉJÀ VU ALL OVER AGAIN…Last year in their second game of the season perennial powerhouse Kentucky lost to Gardner-Webb (who gave the Hokies trouble last night). This year they lost their opener 111-103 to VMI – yep, the Virginia Military Academy. The loss in the Wildcats’ opener was supposed to be a tuneup for their trip to No. 1 North Carolina next week.

VMI's Travis Holmes celebrates as Kentucky's Patrick Patterson walks away at the end of VMI's 111-103 NCAA college basketball victory at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky., on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008. Holmes led his team with 30 points.

DeAndre Liggins looked to pass out of the VMI trap of Michael Sparks, right, and Chavis Holmes. Liggins, a freshman, had seven turnovers in 27 minutes. Kentucky had 25 in all.
