Shocking, we know, but this time he might actually be right.

Coach K had a few words about fouls and free throws, but it wasn’t about Duke’s uncharacteristically bad performance – the Blue Devils made just 25 of 49 attempts (51 percent) from the free throw line against Georgia State last night – but about Brian Zoubek fouling out in “record” time the night before against Presbyterian. The big lanky junior center fouled out in just seven minutes of playing time, with one basket, three turnovers (all three on fouls on the offensive end), and one assist.

Coach K had this to say in his post-game interview:

“It’s frustrating and I don’t know if he falls in that syndrome where he looks like a guy who fouls…Something’s not right there…the kid is playing pretty well and it’s tough to foul out in seven minutes…unless you’re doing Hack-a-Shaq. Really, it’s very difficult to do that. I don’t know if it broke a record?”
