Former Maryland Terp Shaun Hill connected with Hokie rookie Josh Morgan on a lovely TD pass in last night's Monday Night Football game eventually won by the Cardinals 29-24. It was the Cardinals first win on MNF since before most of the current Terps or Hokies were born.

Hill did everything humanely possible to win the game. He also did everything humanely possible to lose the game.

He was great, he was awful. He was great, he was awful. Repeat.

Hill was 19 for 40 for 217 yards with two interceptions and two touchdowns. Ok, he really threw FOUR interceptions, but two were nullified by penalties.

In the end, the Niners had the ball first down at the two yard line down by 5 as the final seconds ticked off the clock. Offensive Genius and former Rams head coach Mike Martz decided to run TWICE…the final time on third down, which negated Hill’s formerly well-utilized mobility. Instead he ran a dive play to the second-string running back…
No gain. Game over.

Remarkably (as far as we know), Niners new head coach Mike Singletary kept his pants on…
