We got a comment to an old post the other day, and this particular Duke apologist called us a “f***in moron.” Now that wasn’t right. Nor was it correct.

The post is about a horrible "no call" in the Duke v. Belmont NCAA tournament game last spring. Greg Paulus grabs an errant ball and throws it back in bounds long after he has stepped out of bounds.

Said commenter called us a moron because, according to his view of the world, Paulus “called a timeout.”

No anonymous commenter, he didn’t. Go back and watch the video. To his credit, he tried to call timeout, but the ref ignored him and let the play keep going. If you watch the entire video, one of the replays shows a Duke player catching said pass and dribbling up the court. There is no indication of any stoppage of play that we can see.

Besides, you should stop reading TAH if you don’t have a good sense of humor. If you are still cranky about barely beating a #15 seed some eight months ago, you are way too uptight for these pages!
