DIRTY LAUNDRY…Al Davis put on a remarkable performance in firing Raider coach Lane Kiffin. Looking to stiff Kiffin on the balance of his contract, Davis presented a three page letter of “for cause” which included, among other things, as reasons for the justified firing: two unused timeouts in a loss to Buffalo.

"It's the first time I ever let anyone go based on what I call being a flat-out liar," Davis said.

With the dismissal for conduct, as opposed to performance, the Raiders are contending they don't plan to pay the reported $2.6 million remaining on Kiffin's contract.
