Of course, in spite of a 221 point production and a 71 point margin of victory in the opening rounds of the Big Dance, UNC’s Roy Williams found something to complain about besides the slippery NCAA decal center court: Rebounding.

If a team is going to run and dictate a fast pace, they have to control the boards. One would assume that’s exactly what they did against Mount St. Mary’s and Arkansas. Against the Mounts, the Tar Heels won the rebounding battle 63 to 22.

In Sunday’s game v. the Hogs, the rebounding margin was 40 to 36 and that doesn’t sit well with a coach looking for something to dog his boys about. Caught in the crossfire was Deon Thompson.

Thompson had 12 rebounds in 19 minutes in Friday’s game. Against the Razorbacks, he scored 16 points on an impressive 8 of 8 shooting, but during his 21 minutes he only grabbed one rebound.

According to Ol’ Roy, "Deon had one more rebound than my wife."
