Virginia ’s Sean Singletary was named ACC Player of the Week while Wake Forest ’s Jeff Teague earned ACC Rookie of the Week honors.

In earning the league’s player of the week award for the second time this season, Singletary averaged 31.0 points and 9.5 assists in three conference games last week. The Philadelphia , Pa. , senior made .432 percent (19-of-44) of his shots from the field and .952 percent (20-of-21) of his free throws. The ACC’s third-leading scorer (19.9), Singletary also had eight rebounds, four steals and 12 turnovers in 106 minutes of action in the three games.

In earning the league’s rookie award for the fourth time this season, Teague scored 25 points in back-to-back games against Virginia Tech and NC State. The Indianapolis , Ind. , freshman made 15-of-27 from the floor (.556), including six-of-nine from behind the arc (.667) and all 14 of his free throw attempts. In addition, Teague averaged 5.5 rebounds in 36.5 minutes of play in the two games.
