Continuity -Lack of interruption or disconnection; the quality of being continuous in space or time.

So…if you owned a football team and you talked about “continuity” when your Hall of Fame football coach retired and you employed two high-profile (and high-dollar) offensive and defensive coordinators, you would then fire both of them (one of which was supported by the players to be the next head coach) on a Friday to minimize media coverage, let go the popular running-backs coach who played for your team, and then hire a quarterback coach that has never been an offensive coordinator or a head coach to be your head coach and then hire a new offensive coordinator from Tennessee who should fit right in since the Titan’s offense was actually statistically WORSE than the team in question last year…And, then add to that a new coach from Seattle as well as an assistant who was formerly the head coach of St. Olaf College (Oles, 3,007 students, Northfields, MN).

Is that the “continuity” in question, or is there a different one we don’t know about that might actually make a little sense?

Not that we’re cranky about it or anything like that.
