Freshman J.J. "Who You Callin' A" Hickson scored 21 points to lead North Carolina State past Virginia Tech 73-63 on Tuesday night.

Courtney "Love, When She Drinks Down She Always" Fells finished with 14 points and freshman point guard Javier "Speedy" Gonzalez added a season-high 11 for the Wolfpack (15-7, 4-4 ACC), who never trailed, blew much of a 19-point lead and then pulled away to deny the Hokies their first victory over N.C. State in Raleigh in the modern era.

A.D. "El Es Un Caballo" Vassallo scored 16 points and Jeff "George" Allen added 15 to lead Virginia Tech (14-9, 5-4), which entered in third place in the conference but had its three-game winning streak snapped.
