SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, HANG ON

#4 UNC 91, BOSTON COLLEGE 69
The Tar Heels ran up a big first half lead. Then they let it slip away.

And then their coach got mad.

Really mad.

Roy Williams yanked everyone off the court, sent in five subs and went ballistic on the bench.

Message delivered.

All five starters reached double figures and the fourth-ranked Tar Heels scored 21 straight points during their 91-69 rout of Boston College on Thursday night.

Properly motivated, Lawson had 7 assists in the first half, and with 7:45 left in the second half, the Heels had not committed a second half turnover.

Yes, you might say they renewed their focus.

Tyler Hansbrough scored 18 points, Deon Thompson added 13 of his career-high 17 in the first half and Lawson finished with 16 for the Tar Heels (20-1, 5-1 ACC).

BC’s Tyrese Rice equaled his average with 20 points, but he was 6-for-15 from the field and 1-for-9 from 3-point range for the Eagles (12-7, 3-3 ACC), who had 17 turnovers.
