HE SAID, SHE SAID… Patriots' wide receiver Randy Moss (who did not attend an ACC school) said that a battery allegation against him is false and a bid to get money by the woman who brought the claim.

Moss discussed the matter on Wednesday as the Patriots - who are in pursuit of a perfect NFL season - prepared to take on the San Diego Chargers on Sunday for a berth in the Super Bowl.

He said the ongoing legal case barred him from discussing specifics of the incident, which involved his longtime acquaintance Rachelle Washington.

Distraction? Not a distraction?
