PICTURE OF THE DAY 2

AND WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS A PROBLEM...German sporting goods giant Adidas officer Guenter Pfau displays a cut model of a soccer ball during a press conference in Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture 13 December 2007.

The ball has a device with goal-line technology, using a magnetic field to provide real-time feedback to a central computer which tracks the ball on the field and sends the data to the referee, allowing them to know whether a ball has crossed the goal line during play.
