NORTH CAROLINA STATE 66, Davidson (Wildcats, 1,700 students, Davidson, NC) 65

Davidson was looking for a win against an ACC team. They didn’t get it done against UNC or Duke, but they had the Wolfpack square in their sights.

NC State’s big man Gavin Grant knew the respect-starved Wildcats were tantalizingly close to finally knocking off somebody from Tobacco Road.

Then the North Carolina State forward stepped to the free-throw line and denied the Wildcats that coveted signature victory.

Grant's two foul shots with 3.9 seconds left lifted the Wolfpack to a 66-65 victory.
